Gatefield Sounds is your local independent music specialist, located in the heart of the high street in the seaside town of Whitstable. Long established, we have been satisfying customers musical needs for nearly 50 years.
We stock a wide range of vinyl and CD’s and also provide a speedy and efficient ordering service for anything we do not stock. We can also order films, DVD’s and Blu-rays etc, so do not hesitate to get in touch to see if we can help.
Here at Gatefield Sounds we also have regular in-store live performances and album signings from established acts. In recent times we have welcomed artists such as The Slaves, The Amazons, The Wandering Hearts and the legendary James Lavelle from UNKLE on two occasions.
Friendly well established shop catering for a wide range with a small vinyl selection and a very good ordering service.

In particular indie exclusive releases which you will only find in independent records shops like ourselves. Once a year we endeavour to make sure we are an essential place to visit on the annual record store day. By stocking a huge range of releases we aim to make the queuing worthwhile. Early risers will be greeted with sausage rolls which has become our tradition.
